Description
Tabular Alumina is a high-purity sintered corundum without additives, with no MgO, B₂O₃, or other auxiliaries added during production, and with complete firing shrinkage. It has a plate-like α-Al₂O₃ crystal structure with coarse and well-developed crystals, and the Al₂O₃ content is ≥99%. The product features small pores with a high proportion of closed pores, and its porosity is roughly equivalent to that of fused corundum, with high purity, excellent volume stability, and extremely low refiring shrinkage. Refractories and castables prepared from it have good thermal shock stability and flexural strength after high-temperature treatment.
Tabular Alumina Applications
- Refractories: Manufacture of alumina-carbon bricks, alumina-magnesia-carbon bricks, high-alumina castables/plastics for blast furnaces, ladles, tundishes, glass furnace linings, etc.
- Metallurgical Parts: Production of steel casting sliding nozzles, stopper rods, crucibles, and vessels for rare and precious metal smelting
- Electronic Ceramics: High-frequency and high-voltage insulating substrates, tube sockets, porcelain frames, and other electronic insulating devices
- Industrial Fillers: Filler for epoxy resin and resin systems to improve insulation strength, thermal conductivity, and wear resistance
- Other Fields: Kiln furniture, catalyst carriers, high-temperature thermal insulation materials, abrasive aggregates
